On the upside there is the monastery of São Vicente. There, get in the old tram 28 for the most beautiful tour the city has to offer. Cross neighbour district of Alfama with its narrowed maze of streets full of fado houses and restaurants, passing up the hill at São Jorge castle with its viewpoints over Lisbon downtown.
